ClickThru Guide

Brief guide for using ClickThru traffic exchange.

Article by: Bruno Klampfl

ClickThru is one of the oldest traffic exchanges. It has some features that make it different from other traffic exchanges. At ClickThru you earn virtual cash called CTC (ClickThru cash) instead of credits.

1) Surfing

You will earn $0.01 CTC per page viewed. When you add your sites and they are approved, then you can assign CTC to page views. Each $0.01 is worth one visit to your site. So this work as manual traffic exchange with 1:1 ratio. If you have $1.00 and you buy visits, that's 100 visitors.

2) Tasks

You can earn CTC faster if you complete tasks from other members. Task can be to click a link, to join some site, or something else that you can think of. Tasks are worth from $0.01 CTC to $1.00 and more. So, it's faster to join some site for $1.00 than to surf 100 sites for the same amount.

As, I said ClickThru is great for building downlines (referrals) because of tasks. You can make your own task and offer CTC to other members if they join as your referrals on some other site. Just offer the right amount of CTC for the task. Ask yourself if you would join that site for that amount and check what other members offer for similar tasks.

3) ClickThru HotSpot

This is an image which you can put on your website. When you surf and site that you are visiting has HotSpot on it, you will be warned. If you click on that image you can earn from $0.01 to $1000 CTC, so it pays to click it. The point is that you can put that HotSpot anywhere on your page, so people must look at your page in order to find it (you get quality visits).

At the same time, that image works as your referral banner. When people outside ClickThru visit your site and click on ClickThru HotSpot, they will be taken to ClickThru website with your referral ID.

If you make your HotSpot too obvious then visitors outside ClickThru will find it easily and you might get more referrals, but you will get less quality visits inside ClickThru (surfers won't have to pay so much attention to your page in order to find HotSpot). If you hide HotSpot on you page, then ClickThru surfers will have to search your page for HotSpot, but you will get less referrals because visitors outside ClickThru might miss it. So, you have to find balance.
